Unstoppabl Runner Achieves Incredible Result in Lincoln 10K

Rachel Barrett, an Unstoppabl client, recently took part in the Lincoln 10K, achieving an astounding result in her category. After just seven months of running training, Rachel clocked a time of 51 minutes and 36 seconds, finishing 17th out of 178 runners in her category. This remarkable achievement was all in aid of a worthy cause - The Duncan & Toplis Foundation.

Rachel embarked on her fitness journey with Unstoppabl seven months ago, driven by a desire to get back in shape and break the cycle of continually losing and regaining the same weight. Within just 12 weeks, she achieved her initial weight loss target and exceeded her next goal in 16 weeks, going from a size 16 to a size 6.

What began as a weight loss journey soon blossomed into a passion for running. After achieving her first 5K, Rachel set her sights on the Lincoln 10K.

Rachel's running future looks bright. Not content to rest on her laurels, she has set her sights on the Roy Castle series this year and intends to return to the Lincoln 10K next year, aiming to outpace even more competitors.

At Unstoppabl, we are immensely proud of Rachel's success and her dedication to a cause close to our hearts. We hope her story will inspire other runners to join us in supporting The Duncan & Toplis Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping individuals recover after experiencing hardship or tragedy.

Our running programme at Unstoppabl combines running and resistance training, enabling clients to reach their running goals safely and injury-free. We are delighted to see Rachel's hard work pay off in such a meaningful way.

Rachel's journey to the Lincoln 10K finish line was a team effort. Special thanks go to Tim Godson for the idea of competing for the foundation; Jasmine Cobb, who set up the charity page and gathered the team; Mary MacLachlan, who set the ideal pace for Rachel to follow; and Sarah Clyde, who offered support while running as part of her preparation for the London Marathon next week.

"I'm so happy with my results after only seven months of running," said Rachel. "It's amazing what you can achieve when you put your mind to it."

Created by local runners in 2018, the Lincoln 10K brings together people from around the globe in a celebration of fitness and community, while supporting local charities. By participating, Rachel has contributed to a special event that benefits many people from all walks of life.

Rachel was ecstatic to have finished the Lincoln 10K, smashing her personal goal of 53 minutes. She is still raising money for The Duncan & Toplis Foundation.

Rachel's final words of thanks went to her coach, Nick Johnston-Davis at Unstoppabl: "I remembered the arms (most of the time) and to smile and enjoy it!"

Congratulations to Rachel on her remarkable achievement and best of luck in her future running endeavours. We look forward to seeing her cross more finish lines in the future.
